We already know that taking care of our skin at night before going to bed is important and you might be applying the 10-step Korean skincare routine already for quite some time now. But did you know that your skin care routine during the day is also a huge factor to your skin's health and flawlessness?
I'm guilty of using (only) sunscreens and moisturizers for my morning routine. Now that The Pond's Institute released The NEW Pond's Flawless Radiance Derma+ Range, I don't have an excuse to not take care of my skin anymore. It consists of Moisturizing Day Cream (best for normal to dry skin), Mattifying Day Cream (best for normal to oily skin), Hydrating Day Cream (best for normal to oily skin), Night Cream, Perfecting Serum and BB+Cream (light and beige). These contain Pond's most advanced skin care technology, Dermperfect Complex, which has 3 derma treatment elements (laser, IPL and gluta) in one. Yep, I know what you are thinking: Derma like treatment at the comfort of your own home.
So here's an easy way of including these products to your daytime skin care routine just like what I did:
1. Cleanser / facial wash
Wash off your face using your usual cleanser or facial wash. Make sure it suits your skin type.
Put a drop of toner on a cotton ball and apply it to your face.
3. Pond's Perfecting Serum
It targets skin damage and helps boost moisture. Put pea-sized amount on your finger and spread it using your other hand, then apply it to your face in a circular motion. Apply more if needed.
4. Day cream
Since it's summer time and I have normal to oily skin, I am using Pond's Hydrating Day Cream that has a refreshing light textured hydrating gel with SPF 15 PA++. Sometimes I alternate it and use the Pond's Mattifying Day Cream for flawless makeup application.
5. Pond's BB++ Cream
To get a natural look or coverage, use Pond's BB++ Cream because it has a very smooth and lightweight texture that protects your skin from the sun with SPF 30 PA++ while perfecting skin from within. It is available in light and beige. Light is more for fair skin tones while beige is more for morenas. In my case, I mixed the two to match my skin color. Swatch it on your face to see if it really matches your skin tone since our face's color is different from our wrist. Take note that it is not matte finish.
Then you can proceed with your make up routine.
See, you just need a few minutes everyday to get that spot-less, pore-less, luminous skin, for #DermaLikeResults!
Overall, I really like the smell and texture of the creams and serum, and I'm hoping Pond's releases a middle tone color of the BB++ Cream for my skin tone. I've tried this routine for only a week and I can see that my skin looks brighter, smoother and healthier but my T-zone area still gets greasy so I'll continuously use these products for optimal results. For those who are asking if The NEW Pond's Flawless Radiance Derma+ Range is an alternative to your derma treatments, I won't necessarily say yes to that as some of us need special attention from a dermatologist so it's best that you consult your dermatologist first.
Also, don't forget to moisturize your skin at night using Pond's Night Cream to deeply repair skin overnight.
Try this yourself and let me know how it goes for you, madames! :)
