My Top Picks At Panasonic Manila Fashion Festival Season 9 Day 1

Last week, Panasonic Manila Fashion Festival took place at the Edsa Shangri-La, Marquee Tent.

Now on its 9th Season, Panasonic Manila Fashion Festival continues to shape the fashion landscape in Southeast Asia. Presented to you by Art Personas, the theme for this season is “Shape, Form and Movement”, aiming to create a fashion movement that will create a stronger force that will change the way fashion is presented and celebrated in the Philippines.

Panasonic as the official naming partner of MFF, provided us with an upgraded fashion experience and once again created a world-class fashion festival that weaves technology and fashion together as one.

The 4-day event kicked off with the lifestyle assembly, where known players in the industry talked about beauty, fashion, film, digital content creation. There were also beauty booths where people had make-overs, for that photo-ready look in the Panasonic Pink Studio. Also, the ‘Face of the Philippines’ winner and runner-ups were announced during the event.

Of course, the main highlights of the event were the most-awaited fashion shows. PMFF captured the biggest fashion event in the Philippines and the collections of talented designers from Manila, Cebu, Davao, as well as participants from Australia, Korea, Japan, and Laos.

I was able to witness the beautifully created pieces from the first day. These are my personal picks from each designer's collections:

Bessie Besana

Cheetah Rivera

Chris Nick

Dak Bonite

Jaz Cerezo

Jun Escario

Lucia Josephine

Mark Tamayo

Rob Ortega

Steph Tan

Veejay Floresca

Dak Bonite's playful, bright colored presentation speaks gender equality and truly wowed the crowd. And I would totally wear the dreamy, sophisticated intricate ensembles by Steph Tan and Bessie Besana. They were GORGEOUS!

Not to mention, through the products of Panasonic, particularly the Lumix cameras, television, and Panasonic beauty products, Philippine fashion was presented and appreciated on a better and larger scale.

So glad I got to witness this wondrous event first-hand. 'Til the next PMFF!
