Kiss The Tiramisu Opens in TriNoma Mall

What diet? Holidays mean only one thing: Cheat Day! And in case you haven't heard, there's a new dessert cafe in town. Korean luxury dessert cafe Kiss The Tiramisu just opened its second branch in TriNoma Mall.

Since the successful launch of its first branch in the Philippines last year at Valero, Makati, Pinoys have really fallen in love with it and these are the factors that make it special:

1. Globally Renowned Brand

Hailing from South Korea, Kiss The Tiramisu is a global franchise founded by FTAY Group Company which is composed of friends from military school. They wondered if tiramisu can be enjoyed other than in cake form and later on developed it into luxury soft-serve ice cream. According to one of the founders Mr. Jiro Kim, the brand's name is called Kiss The Tiramisu because their products are so good, you just want to kiss it. And I believe so too.

From the humble first store in Hongdae, South Korea, Kiss the Tiramisu now has branches in Singapore, Hong Kong, Thailand, Indonesia, Malaysia, China, Canada, and now the Philippines. I heard they are planning to open in Paris as well.

Shirley Wong, CEO and President of Foodeology Inc., decided to bring the brand to the Philippines since she came up with the idea of recreating familiar desserts into something different – hence, coining the “foodeology” concept that aimed to enhance dessert dining to a whole new level. She's also planning to expand her store branches in the Philippines soon in Boracay, Bonifacio Global City and Rockwell. That's exciting news, right?

2. Premium Quality Ice Creams

The brand's signature soft serve comes in 4 different flavors: Classic Tiramisu, Matcha, Injeolmi, and Mida's Touch.

Kiss the Tiramisu’s Classic Tiramisu Ice Cream is a fresh take on what tiramisu ice cream is all about. The different layers of mascarpone cheese, soft-serve made with pure milk ice cream, cookie crumble, butter cookies and dark chocolate shavings will instantly take you into dessert paradise! If the combination of sweet and salty flavor is your kryptonite, then the Classic Tiramisu is your best bet. I can't wait for you to experience this melt-in-your-mouth crowd favorite.

Another specialty ice cream is the east-meets-west concoction called Matcha Tiramisu Ice Cream which is poured with matcha sauce and dusted with matcha powder instead of the coffee sauce and cookie crumbs.

For those who want a taste of Korea's delicacy called Injeolmi, or sticky rice cakes dusted with roasted soy bean powder, the Injeolmi Tiramisu Ice Cream would be a delicious choice.

As its special offering, Kiss the Tiramisu creates a unique flavor in every country it goes to. In the Philippines, its exclusive ice cream, crafted by Chef Kat Diploma, is called the Mida’s Touch which is soft-served with ube cake and leche flan. It has layers of crushed barquillos, and is drizzled with caramel sauce. But wait, there's more! What makes it special is the real, edible 24K gold. The gold-tipped, highly Instagrammable ice cream is definitely a must-try.

3. Take Out Goblets

Oh my gosh, yes! Memories of the rich and smooth ice cream can also be taken home, as they’re served in gold-rimmed acrylic goblets that customers can take out as souvenir and reuse. Such a sweet concept!

4. Craft Drinks and Sumptuous Menu

Aside from the premium quality ice creams, their menu is also comprised of hearty appetizers, breakfast food and pastas. The cafe is complete with fresh roasted coffees to go with the desserts too!

5. Specialty Christmas Cakes

For this season, Happier Holidays await at Kiss the Tiramisu as the dessert café presents its specialty Christmas cakes namely Peach Cheesecake and Oreo Mousse Cake which are the perfect dessert centerpieces in festive occasions.

The Peach Cheesecake reminds me of the classic mango float but with a twist. Instead of mangoes, the ingredient includes peaches. Imagine a fruity layered cake with a clear jelly on top. Totally refreshing.

The Oreo Mousse Cake on the other hand, is filled with crunchy oreo biscuits that will surely sweeten your day. One serving is good for sharing, by the way.

6. IG-worthy Interiors

The interiors were conceptualized specially for Filipinos who want something unique and Instagram-worthy. Comparing it to the take out dessert store branches in Korea, their shops here were designed in a way that families and friends can dine in.

Both Makati and TriNoma branches are elegant-looking, with its gold colors and subtle accents of marble white.

I must say, the added accent wall in the new TriNoma branch is an excellent highlight to the store.
