As a titallennial, one of the things I've recently gotten into are essential oils, ointments and any other wellness products.
Essential oils are compounds extracted from plants that produce unique aromas to enhance one's well being. And there are several benefits and known uses for these essential oils. So when doTERRA, a company and brand that promotes wellness launched last November here in the Philippines, I immediately got some of their products to try. If you're curious about essential oils and the like, here's a list of must-haves and my review based on experience. But take note, I am not an expert on this matter so feel free to comment or correct me if I have some misleading information.
For starters, a good trial product would be the doTERRA Essential Oils Introductory kit and an oil diffuser. The Introductory Kit includes a 5 mL bottle of dōTERRA's Certified Pure Therapeutic Grade Lavender, Lemon, and Peppermint essential oils. What I love about it is that you can save on buying bigger bottles without knowing which essential oils you really need or want. While the diffuser I got is petite in size, minimal and portable. It is very travel-friendly and user-friendly as well.
I usually alternate the 3 essential oils depending on my mood and feel: Lavender for calming my mind when I'm stressed out, Lemon for detoxing internal systems and cleansing the air and surfaces at home after I clean my room, and Peppermint for boosting energy and focus when I need a little push to start the day. Peppermint essential oil also helped me a lot during the time that I couldn't breathe much because of my cough and colds coming from an out of the country vacation. I simply placed my diffuser next to my bed while I sleep.
I also have with me my doTERRA Keychain With 8 Vials for easy access to my favorite oils on-the-go. I haven't really used it yet since I only have 3 essential oils with me now.
Next on my list is the On Guard Natural Whitening Toothpaste. It is fluoride-free, and tastes like cinnamon with a minty flavor. Although the brand claims it to be whitening, I haven't seen the best results yet. Overall, I love that it contains Wild Orange, Clove, Cinnamon, Eucalyptus, and Rosemary essential oils which provides an extra cleaning boost.
For travelers and people who love to work out, I am sure that the Deep Blue Rub would be an essential for you just as it is for me! doTERRA Deep Blue Rub is a rich, topical cream infused with the Deep Blue Soothing Blend of Certified Pure Therapeutic Grade essential oils. Honestly, I don't think I can live without it anymore.
When I had muscle pains and tense legs during my Christmas vacation in Europe, Deep Blue Rub came to rescue. It was winter time and no matter how much I protected my legs from the cold, I still got cramps and soreness from walking and traveling. By applying this lotion, I had the comforting sensation of cooling and warmth to my muscle and other body pains. I shared it with my father-in-law when he had trouble with muscle pains too and he loved it.
Last but not the least, the Verage Skin Care. Everyone knows I'm a skin care addict and I'm so glad they have these as options for my usual routine too. The Veráge Skin Care Collection contains only the best natural ingredients of doTERRA essential oils, emollients, and plant extracts that will leave skin feeling nourished and hydrated while encouraging confidence through reduced signs of visible aging. The cleanser smells fruity and earthy at the same time, thick in consistency and not that foamy when washed with water. While the toner is lightweight, refreshing and excellent for those who suffer from sensitive skin. I love how it leaves my skin smooth and hydrated after every wash.
