8 Instagram-worthy #OOTD Spots in Bali

Bali, Indonesia is such a photogenic tropical paradise, making me want to take non-stop #OOTD pics! :)

Everywhere I go, every angle I face, is Instagram-worthy. You might think that it's because I'm a tourist or new to the place, but it is really amazing. I am in awe with their beaches, architectural designs, cute little boutiques, cafes and basically everything. No wonder foreigners frequent the island. :)

The reason why I wrote this article is because as a Madame on a budget, aside from copping cheap and fashionable clothes, you need to know the best places to show it off.

If you haven't been to Bali, let me give you a guide on some of the Instagram-worthy #OOTD spots for your next trip.

  1. Sea Circus Cafe Sea Circus Cafe is one of the most famous cafes located in Seminyak. What makes it really Instagrammable are the bright colored walls outside and of course, their freshly made smoothies! There's sort of a line for the photo-op sessions since bloggers around the world really look forward to flaunting their summer-ready outfits here.

  1. Tegallalang Rice Terraces  With its dramatic views, the Tegallalang rice terraces is a well-known spot for tourists to snap photos. Similar to the Banawe Rice Terraces in the Philippines, it offers a gorgeous outlook to the rice paddies on the slopes across the valley, perfect for my madame haciendera wardrobe. Make sure also to check out the nearby stalls for your shopping urges.

  1. Ulun Danu Beratan Temple Out of all the temple runs I did in Bali, this is picturesque AF for me. This side of the island will make you keep your cool. Apart from the iconic structures, vibrant colored flowers also add to its scenic backdrop. Strike a pose by the gates and by the corner garden.

  1. Potato Head Beach Club The beach club is designed with an open air, amphitheatre-like structure, and features an iconic facade of antique shutters. Adding to its cinematic architecture are the restaurants, bars, infinity pool and access to the beach. The venue is a world-class hotspot known for music festivals and is a regular host for Ultra Bali EDM Festival. If you're an EDM fan like me, you'll get goosebumps of excitement just by entering the stadium. :)

  1. Nusa Penida Never heard of it? Nusa Penida is an island located just off the southern coast of Bali. BE WOKE, madames and sirs! Before you see the surreal beauty of this spot, magduDUSA PENIDA muna kayo. You will have to take a 30-45 minute boat ride from Sanur beach port, 1 hour bumpy and rocky dirt road ride and trek through sharp cliffs with no proper toilets nor comfort of a shaded restaurant or resort. If you really want that money shot and have the energy for an adventure of a lifetime, go ahead and slay. As for me, I just enjoyed the majestic view of that picture-perfect turquoise water.

Sorry for my fat self, ate too much babi guling (Balinese Lechon). :))

  1. Nook Nook is a cafe tucked away from the bustling Seminyak. This is the place to be when you just want to escape without the need for a road trip. Imagine sipping on a cuppa from a quaint warung overlooking lush green rice fields with a cool breeze. #GOALS. What more when the rice fields are in season.

  1. Motel Mexicola Neon lights and quirky vibes are what makes Motel Mexicola the go-to place for #OOTD. Snap photos on their attractive staircase and under their arched hallways. To top it off, chow down on tacos, quesadillas and Mexican drinks and use it as props for the gram.

(Madames, this is Fudgy Bear. He's also in this photo for the gram. Follow this fashionable travel bear on Instagram @talesoffudgybear for more cuteness.)

  1.  Airbnb villa Bali is the ultimate paradise for Instagrammable villas and Airbnb is where we found ours. I fell in love right away with the villa we occupied for our stay. I believe every villa has its own unique interior for IG purposes so better make the most out of it.

(BTW, I bought a bunch of ATA bags from Bali. If you're interested to get one, send me a message.)

Exploring Bali and doing this photo walk is certainly one for the books. I hope this blog post was helpful for all fashionistas and travelers. There are a lot more places in Bali we've been to and definitely plenty more to visit in the future. I'm thinking of going back soon with more outfit goals. Who's with me? :)

Most photos were taken by my blogger jowa / boyfriend, David Lui. <3 Need a Bali Driver? I recommend Kadek. Thanks to Michael Shi for the tips!
