Under The Sea Cafe: Be A Mermaid For A Day!

Like many girls growing up, Disney Princess movies and songs were always on repeat back then. Ariel of The Little Mermaid is one of my favorites and I've always wandered free and wished I could experience being a mermaid. Don't you? Seeing children dress up like their favorite Disney Princesses is super cute and I found a lair where we, adults, can be mermaids too!

This magical place is called Under The Sea Cafe. It's the first-ever mermaid-themed cafe restaurant in the Philippines and is located at the 3F of 80 Maginhawa Street, Quezon City. They of-FISH-ally opened August last year and since then, kids and kids at heart frequent this place to fulfill their mermaid kisses and starfish wishes.

Need a little vitamin sea? Under The Sea Cafe really gives you that vibe: From Ariel's grotto, the 3-D boat on the ceiling, mermaid and sea creature plushies, sea-themed wall paintings to the songs playing in the background. If you want thingamabobs, they've got plenty!

Even the food looks too good to eat! You probably think they only serve Les Poisson and seafood like Chef Louie in The Little Mermaid, but you got it all wrong! Kid-friendly pastas, pizzas and finger foods are also part of the menu and the serving size is quite decent for their price point at Php100-300 per dish. My fave would be the Vanilla Mermaid Milkshake and the Smores Pizza is yummers!

It's SMORE fun Under The Sea!

What a REEF-reshment!

By spending at least Php150 on food, you could be part of Ariel's world where you can borrow fish tails and mermaid crowns for taking millions of Instagram worthy photos in the area.

Look at this stuff, isn't it neat?

You can't swim with us! :))

Flounder took some breath of sea water, good thing Nemo is here!

Aww...In that moment, it felt like we got no problems, because life is bubbles at Under The Sea Cafe. I wish we could just stay there forever but my Prince Eric (David in real life haha) is waiting for me in our imaginary future castle.

So WATER you waiting for? Summon the kingdom and let's all be mermaids! And while you're at it, you might want to experience becoming a Unicorn at Rainbow Dreams Cafe too (located just below Under The Sea Cafe and partly owned by volleyball star Alyssa Valdez). :)
