Quarks & Quills Is A One-Stop Space For Freelancers and Students

Co-working spaces or shared office spaces are turning out to be a better option for freelancers like me than working from home or spending time at coffee shops. Some co-working spaces allow you to collaborate with other people or companies and others have their own bar or games for entertainment.

While there are tons of spaces available everywhere, Quarks & Quills in Quezon City has something unique to offer.

Its name, Quarks (electric) and Quills (sharp), perfectly encapsulates the concept of the place. The environment is very conducive for working and/ or studying since it is very quiet and relaxing which helps in sharpening the mind and boosting energy. It is well lit, with sockets per table, and FREE Wi-Fi. Plus, the staff is very commendable given that they don't approach you from time to time unlike in coffee shops where they can get distracting.

When you see it...that little miss wants to be part of the photo. :D

For those who need a place to conduct group studies, meetings, seminars, workshops and gatherings, they have 2 functional rooms with projectors that are readily available. The small room fits 4-6 pax which you can rent for only Php800 (keyword: CONSUMABLE) for 4 hours, while the bigger room fits 15-20 pax for only Php1500 (again, CONSUMABLE) for 4 hours. Where else can you find this amazing deal, right?

Speaking of consumables, here's what's at stake! :D Yes, they have delicious yet affordable food. Owner Jules Lo and Chef Camille noticed that their regular customers usually order fast food for dinner which is very unhealthy and inconvenient. So they came up with their own menu that caters to both students and yuppies. It does not only fill the tummy with the great serving size, it also fits right on the budget. These are the top selling dishes that I've tried:

For breakfast, they have the Pinoy favorite Bangus Silog, Php190

Light snacks include Gyoza, Php105

And oh my gosh, my favorite would be the MonteCristo, Php125. YOU HAVE TO TRY IT!!!

Quick lunch? Go for the Beef Curry Omurice, Php225 or the Miso Salmon Omurice, Php255

Dig in the mouthwatering BSS (Big, Soft and Savory) Porkchop, Php335 for dinner

or this cooked to perfection Angus Hanger Steak, Php388

Pair those yummy dishes with Cookies and Cream Frappe, Php95 or Choco Chip Frappe, Php110

Indulge in delectable desserts: Triple Chocolate Mousse, Php110 or the Mango Graham Cake, Php135.

Order anything from their menu and you can stay as long as you want from 7am to 11pm. No need to pay per hour. :)

And there's more! Quarks & Quills is also a tutoring center. The owner used to be a teacher and has been helping students expand their knowledge and enhance their skills ever since. In fact, those who are enrolled in Culinary Arts also help out in their kitchen. Enrolling in any of the courses available is open to all ages.

Quarks & Quills is definitely one-of-a-kind. I'm actually thinking it's quite a great place to bond with family and friends too. :)

Make sure to say hi to Chefs Camille and John when you visit their branch at 43 H Nicanor Roxas St, Santa Mesa Heights, Quezon City, 1114 Metro Manila. :)
