Philippine Fashion Revolution's 1st Batch of Fashion Designers
The upcoming Philippine Fashion Revolution, headed by the savvy, chic, and fashionable Ms. Lynn Bentsen, is set to ignite the catwalk on September 22 and 23, 2019 at SMX Aura.
This 2-day fashion explosion is a journey that will revolutionize the spectrum of Philippine Fashion using conventional materials incorporating it with Philippine weaves. Showcasing the ingenuity of upcoming and seasoned designers that will rock and make a mark in the fashion industry locally and globally.
In the most creative collaboration, here are our country’s history making fashion designers:
Alfie Ong, a remarkable designer whose collections vary from Filipinianas to beach wear to wedding dresses. Her designs will surely stun the evening.
Ann Casas, our very own Supermodel who not only knows how to graze the runway, but also has an eye for class and sophistication. Another aspiring designer that deserves our attention.
Jared Servano, one of the contestants of Project Runway Philippines 4. who landed 1st runner up , is one of the much awaited designers of this event. His ethnic designs that can leave you speechless will once again be parading the stage and set ablaze.
Basil Malicsi, fashion designer extraordinaire. Featured in many events such as Women’s Wear Daily-WWD, California Apparel News, Vogue Italia, The Asian TV Channel, just to name a few, is joining this prestigious event to showcase his design for that earthy, bold, seductive woman.
Bessie Besana, he is a pageant enthusiast since he can remember, and now, former General Manager of the Miss World Philippines Organization. His love for pageants gives him an edge in designing clothes for women who are destined to be queens.
Harley Ruedas, a native from Cebu and an ultimate Ms. Universe fan. Not only is he a fan of the said pageant, he is also one of Cebu’s notable fashion designers. His love for Filipino weaves is evident in his collections.
Mark Anthony So, another Cebu native in our list, a partner of Harley Ruedas, whom he collaborated with and designed a barong for the winner, Mr. Vietnam, at the 13th Mr. International. It was a successful endeavor to have his talent showcased in such a prestigious event.
Nicky Martinez, just like some of the designers here in the list, he is a member of Designers Circle of the Philippines and participates in fund-raising activities for communities. His design has an ethnic touch such as beadworks and weaves.
Jian Lasala, a Filipino talent that was able to parade his design in the most prestigious pageant, Miss Universe. For two consecutive years, his name was in the roster of fashion designers who dressed up the contestants of Ms. U, Ms. Sierra Leone in 2017, and the most recent, Ms. Kenya.
Jontie Martinez, sprawling the catwalk with elegance and sophistication, whether that be a bridal gown, a cocktail dress or even a barong tagalog. He enjoys intricacies in his collections, showing his craftsmanship in every design he creates.
Vivo Nazareth, he is one of the members Designers Circle of the Philippines. Perhaps, the most seasoned fashion designer in the list, his design is deemed to be trendy and comfy.
